Escola

You have not understood the meaning of difficult until you have taken a Biology class.... in Portuguese. And to top it off the teacher wrote in cursive so not only could I not understand what it was saying, but also I could not read it if my life depended on it haha. I was literally writing gibberish. A o well the people were very nice according o Giulia lol. Giulia came to school with me today to help translate because well I don' know Portuguese. It was very nice having her there with me today it made it less scary. I am still a little scared though; I don't think anyone speaks very good English. Which is fine cause I should know Portuguese anyways, but it makes it harder to make friends since I can't really have a conversation with them. But I think they will help me a lot (from what I can tell). They already invited me to be in their group for a project. Brazilian school is very different. First, the classes don't change just then teachers. So, you are with the same people the whole time which would be nice to see other people more so I can get to know more people, but this way is nice too. O btw my english teacher looks exactly like the girl from grown ups. It is the old lady who Rob Schneider marry's. It is hilarious.

Giulia's friend Letícia came over today. We just hung around, and they played music on the guitar. It was really cool, and fun! I taught Giulia some knock knock jokes today cause she didn't know what they were. She loved the interrupting banana one my uncle Jim made up. Well I have another early morning tomorrow so I am going to go to sleep. Boa noite!!!!! Beijos xoxo

I'm sure it is scary being in school and not understanding the language as well as difficult to learn. I'm sure it will get easier for you. I like the knock knock jokes. Here's one for you. I heard it on TV...maybe you already heard this one. Knock, Knock. Whose there: Queen. Queen who. Would you please Queen my dishes. Enjoy reading your blog so keep them coming. I have my class reunion this weekend. 45 years. Yikes. Yesterday I went to a friends pool and we played spinner. I won...beginners luck. Might have to get the game....you kids would like playing it. Take care and keep having fun. I'm so glad your Portugese family is taking such good care of you. Love Nana
