color festival
Today was one of my favorite days while on exchange! I went to this color festival, which is like a Indian thing to celebrate spring by throwing colors at each other; only it had a little Brasilian twist to it :) I went with some exchange students, and some rebounds. Also, some of the rebounds friends were there too. But, it was sooo much fun! We threw colors at each other for hours, then there were bands playing all day; so we danced all day too. There were so many people here too like thousands of people. It was awesome because this was the first year São Paulo did it, and I got to be apart of it :). O I had colors everywhere cause it is just a powder; so it feels like sand, and it sticks in your hair like sand too lol. Literally, I probably had an inch thick of paint in my hair when I got home. The best part is you just throw colors at everyone even if you didn't know them. Like people would just come over and dump a full tube of paint on your head haha. O I love so much Brasil :)

ReplyDeleteI am a little behind on responding to your blogs. I have been busy. Went to Arizona for the Badger Football game. Then last weekend had a wedding. This weekend was in Chicago area for Tony Soler's 40th birthday, then yesterday had a bridal shower and bacheloreate party. I am so glad that you are having a great time in Brasil. My friend whose son is over there is going to Brasil the end of Oct. to see him and her grandkids. They live in Sao Paulo as well. Can you send me your address. They wanted to know where you lived. I love reading your blogs so keep up with them. I am really happy for you. It is a beautiful day her today. One of these years I am going to make it to October fest. Maybe next year so I can see you march in the band. Love you so much. Maybe we can Skyp sometime soon.
