Fun Facts!
You wanna know some fun facts about Brasil!! Ok!!! First off here it is not common to have a middle name. Yeah I know how different. Usually they have both the mom's maiden name and the dads sir name. Yeah that is why sometimes names can get really long cause they just keep adding the names to the kid's name. Most people will take away one when they get married. How cool is that! haha ok next fact! Here they eat dogs with mayonnaise and potato sticks.... you know the potato chips that are in a shape of a stick. Yeah I remember when I ate my first hotdog I was so excited cause I hadn't eaten a hotdog in a while and I thought you know hotdogs were a universal taste, but I was so confused when I got this hotdog with potato chips on it. Haha it was ok. I prefer my hotdogs chipless, but I will still eat it. Also, they do not have hotdog buns. Yeah instead they use like french bread. It still taste really good, but since the bread is wider usually people will have 2 hotdogs inside of one bun!!! So, as you can see basically everything is different here even hotdogs haha. But, I love all the different stuff it is exciting, and is always surprising me. Well, that is all for the fun Brazilian facts for today have a nice rest of your day tchau!!! :P :P

We do have hot dg buns! haha my family prefers with the french bread but i am sure if you ask them you can have hot dog buns ;) and you havent seen anything... brazilians put everything you can imagine in a hoy dog, vinagrette, mashed potatoes, cheddar... hahaha i prefer mayo and ketchup(and chiiiips)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the hot dog facts. Sounds like it may be different from family to family. Mashed potatoes in a hot dog....not so sure about that. I can't believe you have been in Brazil for over 100 days. I am so glad that you are enjoying your time over there. Nana is so proud of you. I'm not sure I could have done that at your age, but then Nana was from the farm. I thought Soldiers Grove was big as a little girl. Your mom is coming to stay with me tonight. She has an early morning meeting in Dodgeville tomorrow. It will be nice to have the company. I will be fixing us a nice meal and some wine. It is very cold here today....send some of that hot weather over here. The sun is shining though so that helps. I am taking advantage of my gym membership. On Monday's I go to aqua fitness, today is body flow. I was suppose to go with a friend to Body Jam last night...never done that before...but then she had some back and leg pain....she is only 32 yrs. old. She does a lot of exercising and teaches dance classes. Well I better get ready for my class. Love you and miss you. Can't believe Thanksgiving is next week. Im hoping we skype you on that day. Stay cool.
